As a kid, Cleveland, OH native Frank Ippolito would pass the time by either watching Sci-Fi movies with his father or creating creepy creatures in the basement of his family home. Getting lost in the characters he saw on his TV screen and the ones he put together with his bare hands became his escape from the ordinariness of life. It’s safe to say the soon-to-be SPFX master knew what he wanted to do for a living at a very early age. One specific goal he always kept in mind was being able to take part in large Hollywood productions. So, he did what anyone who wants to work in Hollywood does: he packed his bags and moved to Los Angeles, CA.
Since his Southern California arrival, Frank has managed to work on internationally renown projects such as: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Chronicles of Riddick, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, and most recently-Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He has exchanged his basement in Cleveland, OH for a large workshop in Burbank, CA. Although the location has changed, his pastime remains the same. Frank Ippolito makes monsters come to life.
